Introduction and Invitaion

Shaolin Wushu and Taiji boxing were originated  from Henan Province, the People's Republic of China.  In the early years, due to the transportation, only the Asians came here  to lean the Wushu. Based on the spirits of  Shaolin Wushu and  the  theory  of  Taiji  boxing,  they  have created several other Asian  trends such as Karate, Tangshoudo  ect.  Many exercisers  enjoyed and benefited  a  lot  from  it ,  so  it  spreads very  fast. Today many people  from Asia as well as  Europe and America come to Henan to perfect  what   they have  learnt  and  feel  the air  where were born the Shaolin Weshu and Taiji boxing.  

In order to fulfill the purpose of furthering  the influence  of  Shaolin  Wushu  and  taiji  boxing, enhance  the exchanges  among  the Wushu amateurs,  our  provincial  government  began to organize the International  Wushu Festival and Taiji boxing  Festival since 1991.   We have successfully sponsored festivals  till  today,  and  the  Festivals have become more and  more  famous around  the world.

The Eighth International Festival of Shaolin wushu will be held from October, 19 to  23,  2006,  Shaolin Viaggi  is  one  of  the  travel agencies authorized by  the Provincial Sports Ministry,  who  can organize  the  group participants  for the festival.

In order to further promote the traditional Wushu events and exchanges, the International Wushu Federation, jointly with the Chinese Wushu Association will host the First World Traditional Wushu Festival in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, China from October 19 to 23, 2006.  The Festival will be organized by  Henan Provincial Sports Ministry and the Zhengzhou Municipal Government.

The list of the demonstration events of the Festival will be selected from a wide variety of traditional Wushu, which are widely practiced around the world.  The regulations, participation terms will be circulated in due course.

The Organizing Committee will also organize a grand opening ceremony and interesting activities to enable all the participants to enjoy the Chinese culture.

We warmly welcome all the member federations of the World International Wushu Federation and the other Wushu groups around the world to attend the Festival !
